At Pour International, we provide safe places where orphans live abundant lives. In addition to loving our children at Hope for Life Children’s Village and pointing them to Jesus, we also ensure they are educated.
For our Swazi friends, education means a way out of poverty and a pathway to an abundant life. We have a preschool on-sight at Hope for Life. One of our Caregivers is a certified pre-school teacher. We’re so thankful to have her investment into the children!
This year, we had four children graduate from pre-school. What a celebration it was! Traditional songs and dancing, presentations of favorite colors, shapes, animals, and other significant preschool learning milestones. All delivered with fun and enthusiasm!
We’re prayerful for these children as they start primary school in January. Daily they will get on the bus with the “big kids” and travel to a Christian primary school in a nearby town. As you know, raising children is quite an undertaking!
I heard something the other day that stuck with me. “Childhood is short, but it lasts a lifetime.” What a profound truth. The reality is these children live with difficult stories. Some of their past experiences will last a lifetime. They need all the love and healing they can get. We serve a Mighty God who wants good things for His children. We want to love, protect, develop, and teach each child in our care.
And so, on this day we celebrate the achievements of our little friends as they graduate from preschool.
Thank you for your prayers, love, and support for them. They deserve it!
